The terms that govern your use of kindlepublishingteam.com and any Services booked with Kindle Publishing Team.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the kindlepublishingteam.com website and any editing, design, formatting, printing, publishing, marketing or related services (the "Services") provided by Kindle Publishing Team ("Kindle Publishing Team", "we", "us"). By requesting a consultation, submitting a manuscript, placing an order, or otherwise engaging our Services, you ("Client", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the website or engage the Services.
We provide book editing, formatting, cover design, printing coordination, publishing platform setup, marketing support, ghostwriting, narration coordination, website design and related author services as described on this site or in an individual service proposal.
Specific deliverables, timelines and pricing for a given project are set out in a written quote, proposal or order confirmation ("Order"), which forms part of these Terms once accepted by both parties.
You retain full copyright and ownership of your manuscript and Client Content at all times. Deliverables created specifically for your project — including final edited manuscripts, cover art, formatted files and marketing assets — are assigned to you upon full payment, unless otherwise stated in your Order.
Kindle Publishing Team retains the right to use non-confidential, general descriptions of completed work (e.g. genre, service type) in its own portfolio and marketing, and will not use your name, cover art or manuscript excerpts publicly without your separate written permission.
Stock imagery, licensed fonts, and third-party tools used in the course of a project remain subject to their original license terms and may not be independently redistributed by the Client outside the delivered project.
Fees are set out in your Order. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
See our Return & Refund Policy for the conditions under which refunds may be issued.
Each Order specifies the number of included revision rounds for that Service (typically stated in the proposal). Additional revision rounds beyond what is included may be billed at an hourly or per-round rate disclosed before the extra work begins.
Revisions must relate to the original brief or manuscript scope. Requests that substantially change the scope of the project (e.g. a full manuscript rewrite requested after a copyedit was ordered) will be treated as a new Order.
Estimated timelines are provided in good faith based on manuscript length, service scope and current workload, and begin once a deposit is received and all necessary Client Content has been supplied. Delays caused by late Client feedback, incomplete materials, or scope changes may extend the original timeline.
You may cancel a Service before work begins for a full refund of any deposit, less any non-recoverable costs already incurred (e.g. third-party licenses purchased on your behalf). Once work has begun, cancellation terms follow the schedule set out in our Return & Refund Policy.
We treat unpublished manuscripts and personal information shared during a project as confidential, and will not share your manuscript content with third parties except as needed to deliver the Service (e.g. a subcontracted editor or narrator) or as required by law. A separate non-disclosure agreement is available on request, particularly for ghostwriting engagements.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kindle Publishing Team's total liability for any claim arising from the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific Service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost sales, lost royalties, or reputational harm.
While we apply professional editorial, design and marketing standards, we do not guarantee specific sales figures, review counts, bestseller status, or acceptance by any retailer, distributor, agent or publisher. Publishing platforms (including Amazon KDP, IngramSpark and Apple Books) set and change their own content, formatting and eligibility policies at their sole discretion, and final approval for distribution rests with those platforms, not with us.
Where we assist with publishing to third-party platforms, your use of those platforms is separately governed by that platform's own terms of service, content policies and royalty structures. We are not responsible for changes those platforms make to their policies, fees or availability.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Johnson County, Iowa, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
